TECHNICAL EVALUATION

An initial Interview is carried out with the technical staff to set the training objectives. A physical pre-participation evaluation is performed in order to define the parameters of the program. Outline the program with the athlete's goals, under the constant supervision of our technical staff.

BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS

Parameters that it measures:

Weight, skeletal muscle weight, fat weight, total body water. Fat-free weight.

Anthropometric Diagnosis:

Body Mass Index (BMI), body fat percentage, hip-waist ratio, basal metabolism. Muscle-fat control. Segmented graphic analysis, segmented muscle weight (values in Kg, percentages and evaluation).

A nutritional specialist will interpret the results of the body measurements and also will offer some specific nutritional recommendations for each person, according to the test results.


LUMBAR STRENGTH TEST

It consists on a static test to measure the strength values of the lumbar paravertebral muscles in specific angles of the patient's range of motion, depending on the pathology and ability. On average, the range of motion is between 0° and 72°. Such information is recorded, allowing for the conformation of graphs and reports upon request.


CERVICAL STRENGTH TEST

It consists on a static test to measure the strength values of the cervical paravertebral muscles in specific angles of the patient's range of motion, depending on the pathology and ability. On average, the range of motion is between 0° and 136°. Such information is recorded, allowing for the conformation of graphs and reports upon request.


KNEE STRENGTH TEST

It consists on a static test to measure the strength values of the extensor and flexor muscles of either/or both legs in specific angles of the patient's range of motion, depending on the pathology and ability. On average, the range of motion is between 0° and 120°. Such information is recorded, allowing for the conformation of graphs and reports upon request.


NEUROCOGNITIVE EVALUATION

MEDEX has, among its available equipment, the Dynavision D2 which is an excellent tool for the evaluation of sports related injuries like head injuries, contusions and visual field deficits. It evaluates athletes and develops their ability to react upon various circumstances, to be proactive in tracking, more skilled in the decision making process. It also improves other aspects such as: peripheral awareness and the cognitive process, concentration, peripheral vision, reaction time, physical development, decision making and visual processing while under increasing levels of stress.


AEROBIC CAPACITY TEST

This test is used to monitor the development of the athlete's aerobic endurance and to obtain an estimate of their VO2 max. This test requires the athlete to run as far as possible in 12 minutes at a constant speed (Cooper Test).


ANAEROBIC POWER TEST

This test is used to measure the athlete's total anaerobic power. The athlete must run a maximum possible distance in exactly 40 seconds. The distance covered must be determined with a precision of 1 meter (Matsudo Test).


JUMP TEST

This test is used to determine the explosive force of the hip, knee and ankle extensor muscles. It consists on a horizontal jump with the feet together.


STRETCHING

The technology of this machine allows for advantageous positions of the body in order to perform the stretching process biomechanically efficiently, bringing about improvements in the movement around the knee, hip, vertebral column, shoulder, elbow and wrist, also stretching seven large muscle groups, including the hamstrings and hip adductors. It is very efficient for any and all rehabilitation, prevention, sports and high performance programs.
